Southern California is becoming increasingly important in its
role in contributing to the growth of the United States economy.
According to the Los Angeles County Economic Development Corporation,
international trade activity in the Los Angeles region will move
to new record levels in 2005.
To benefit the increasing needs of entrepreneurs involved in
marketing, sourcing and manufacturing overseas especially with
Hong Kong and China markets, the Hong Kong Association of Southern
California (HKASC) provides programs from networking breakfasts
and mixers to speaker featured luncheons serving its members located
in the Greater Los Angeles County from Santa Monica, Torrance,
Los Angeles, Monterey Park to City of Industry.
With extraordinary efforts of HKASC president Raymond Cheng and
his team of Board of Directors, prominent speakers including leading
business executives and government officials are frequently invited
to share their views and valuable insights with HKASC members.
Every year, HKASC also organizes a delegation to attend the Hong
Kong Forum in Hong Kong giving the delegates unique opportunities
to meet with members of other Hong Kong associations worldwide,
attend the SME Market Day for HKTDC's customized Business Matching
services, and even a trip to visit some factories in China.
In addition to business programs, HKASC members can also enjoy
social events from musical
concerts, theme park outings to the Chinese
New Year Gala with their friends and families while networking
with other business associates.
The next Annual General Members' Meeting will be held Monday,
September 12, 5pm, at the Pacific Palms Conference & Resorts,
City of Industry, and followed by a Joint Mixer with Industry
Manufacturers Council at 6pm. Click here
